Others have often asked me how I became a therapist and what motivated me to embark on this long and intensely challenging professional journey. Throughout my lifetime, both personal and professional experiences contributed to my choice of practising psychotherapy and specialising in complex trauma.
Becoming a therapist blends my personal and professional experiences, deepening my appreciation for people from all backgrounds. I am curious about the parasympathetic nervous system. While this work can be challenging, it is also incredibly rewarding. I cherish the trust my clients place in me as I help them navigate their struggles. The genuine connections I form allow me to actively listen and show empathy. Witnessing clients find hope and transform their pain into strength is one of the greatest rewards of my job.
To stay current with recent research and effectively assist my clients, I prioritise ongoing professional development.
